A clean skincare routine is one of the best ways to incorporate self-care into your day.
If you are guilty of forgetting to make time for yourself, welcome to the gang! We are pressed for time and energy regularly. It seems like we force ourselves to muster whatever is left at the end of the day just to make it into bed. The cycle of neglect ends here.(And, don’t be hard on yourself. It’s okay. It happens to the best of us and the rest of us.) I’ve created a simple list to help you get started on yourself-care and clean skincare journey.
This one product that I cannot live without in my morning skincare routine. AM/PM alike, this cleansing face wash is my daily go-to product. This oil based cleanser is certified organic, non-GMO, and made of ingredients like argan oil, castor oil, and rice bran oil. It is also the very first cleanser that I have ever felt comfortable using to remove eye makeup.
My daily toner is MUN Skincare’s Anarose Toner. Its ingredients provide a well-balanced experience. The toner gently exfoliates your skin, while the rosewater immediately soothes it. This toner, like the cleanser, is on my must-have-list for daily use. Usually the toner is followed up by a (super indulgent) hydrating face mist.
After sharing my obsession for MUN products all over social media, I was thrilled to connect with company founder, Munemi Imai. Her resume as a freelance makeup artist speaks for itself. From Vogue and Elle magazine, to an incredible list of celebrities – not only is Munemi a beauty expert, but she is also a leader in the clean skincare industry. So, it really struck me when I learned how similar her journey to clean skincare was to mine. As if her products and this deep sense of connect wasn’t enough to have me hooked for life, she asked if I would be an ambassador for the brand. I didn’t have to think about it for more than a second, my answer was YES.

While hydrating mists are not a necessity in any morning routine – they do happen to define the idea of treat yo’ self. There is nothing quite like a light spritz of a heavenly smelling mist. I am a big fan of Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist or Tata Harper’s Hydrating Floral Essence… Both are an indulgent treat.
Recently, I have been alternating between a few face oils. (It is a simple secret to keeping your skin feeling extra fresh). My go-to oils are Maya Chia, The Super Couple, and Herbivore Botanical’s Orchid Face Oil.
Maya Chia’s The Super Couple was named “One of the best face oils for glowing skin,” by The Zoe Report, and “One of the 20 oils that will change your life,” by People Magazine – it is hard not to get excited when you feel the first few drops hit your hand. This anti-aging oil combines the powers of chia with rosewood, sandalwood and more to make your skin sing!
P.S. I am also thrilled to share that Maya Chia founder and Harvard graduate, Susanne Norwitz, has taken time out of her crazy day to answer some of our questions about the beginnings of Maya Chia, her life and passion for wellness. Coming soon!

Hi Sylvia, I can absolutely recommend a few products that help with anti-aging and hydration. I have tried a wide variety of products for anti-aging and hydration. My skin leans toward the normal/dry side of the spectrum. The best eye cream, and hydrating night cream, and morning moisturizer are listed for you below in this link.
