The Four TED Talks That Changed My Life

TED Talk, Life, Happiness

Three years ago, when I realized that my career/dream job wasn’t what I wanted… I embarked on a quest to better understand the transition. The journey started with watching every TED talk that I could find about passion, growth, and fear. The talks were challenging, inspiring and motivating – they were exactly what I needed to change my life.

Here are some of my favorite TED talks.

Larry Smith –“Why You Fail To Have A Great Career”

The title alone should have you hooked on this talk. It feels like a challenge.  You will probably end up wanting to watch this one twice.

Elizabeth Gilbert – “Your Elusive Creative Genius”

I am such a huge believer in our personal genius. In this TED Talk, Elizabeth Gilbert (Author of Eat, Pray, Love) talk about the whispers of an inexplicable spirit who guides your genius. It is a spiritually uplifting experience. (Completely BADASS).

Mel Robbins – “How To Stop Screwing Yourself Over”

Mel Robbins and the unforgivable ‘F’ word. Just listen, trust me.

Ashley Stahl – Unlock Your Authentic Career”

Ashley says learning about yourself can be broken down into three different questions.  When the talk is finished – you will want to make living authentically a goal.

      Hi Charlene,

I love Elizabeth Gilbert! The Mel Robbins talk was particularly helpful to me too. I didn’t realize how often I used the word “fine.” We owe it to ourselves to be better than fine. Let me know what you think! Thank you for the comment!
